On August 25, Haiscoo announced a global exclusive licensing agreement with US company Sentivera Therapeutics. Sentivera will receive exclusive rights to develop, produce, and commercialize a pre-clinical autoimmune project worldwide, except in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region, and Taiwan Region.

Sentivera will pay Heisike approximately $75.89 million as a down payment (including $40 million in cash and an equivalent $35.89 million worth of 17.5% equity in Sentivera), along with additional milestone payments of up to $1.46 billion and a tiered royalty rate of up to 10%. If Sentivera reaches a re-licensing agreement for the project, Heisike also has the right to receive revenue shares from the re-licensing income.

This project is a oral small-molecule formulation independently developed by Hisico, with independent intellectual property rights. It is intended for the treatment of inflammatory diseases. Pre-clinical research data indicate that this project demonstrates significant pharmacological activity in related animal models, and its mechanism of action is clear. Based on the current results, this project has clear development value and good translational prospects, and is expected to provide clinical patients with a efficient and safe new treatment option. Currently, this project has been approved for clinical trials in China.

The signing of this agreement will further accelerate the development and commercialization of the project on a global scale. This move is in line with the company’s overall development strategy of internationalization and innovation-driven growth, and represents an important step in deepening the global presence and accelerating the transformation of innovative outcomes.
